This paper is an attempt to show the fundamental conflicts between historic confessions of the Reformed tradition and what I believe is a faithful understanding of the New Covenant by examining the continuation of Jewish worship in the New Testament. I make my arguments through the words of the Old and New Testaments and the lives of the apostles. Although I am not a scholar, I believe these arguments merit consideration. I chose to highlight conflict with the WCF on what is probably the most contentious issue – the supposedly abolished Old Covenant temple worship system. I believe this shows the theological rift between the WCF and the testimony of the Bible quite clearly, and serves as fertile ground to further a conversation around understanding Torah continuity into the New Covenant.
